kennix's Avatar I CANNOT MAKE THIS MORE CLEAR, ONE PICTURE. FRONT PAGE MEANS ONE PICTURE. IN YOUR FIRST POST, ADD A PIC THAT GETS ON THE FRONT PAGE, THEN YOU CAN POST AS MANY TIMES AND PICS AS YOU WISH

If you post more than one, like say 10, everyone who visits the page and wants to read the forum has to scroll through your 10 pictures every time they're on the homepage. Do not make me have to edit your thread.

Thanks, DasB

08 Jetta 2.5 EPC Check engine and engine cut off

Nov 27, 2018 - 10:05 PM - by adamyorksmith
I just bought my Jetta a few months ago and my wife had acceleration issues a few weeks back but not me. Later on a toad trip no less, I’ve got the cruise control on and the car bucks out of the CC and the EPC light comes on.

The car now will occasionally cut the motor at an idle, then will take around double the turns of the ignition to restart. Also the EPC and Check engine lights come on and off with no noticeable pattern.

Don’t have the actual code numbers but... [Read More]

EPC light and check engine, different symptoms than most...

Oct 18, 2020 - 7:58 AM - by michaeldursey
Hello!
I am having issues with a Jetta I recently purchased. For starters right off the bat I needed a fuel pump, but I got that replaced and it drove well for a while.

For a couple weeks I had no issues EXCEPT occasionally the throttle would cut out while driving for a half second to a second and come right back, didn't think much of it, not dash lights at the time.
Then suddenly the throttle cutting out got worse, and then so much so that the engine would... [Read More]

Brakes with sensor fit vehicle without sensor?

Oct 06, 2020 - 2:54 PM - by Frozen Gulf
Has anyone checked to see if the brake pad with a sensor will fit in a vehicle not originally equipped with the sensor?

My brakes arrived today with the sensor, but I don't need it. Thinking I should be able to install and either cut the wire or ensure it is secured out of the way.

Thanks!

P1541 bad fuel pump relay. What?

Oct 03, 2020 - 7:59 PM - by Mous
Hi: My 2000 Jetta has a P1541 error. I replaced the fuel pump relay but the error remains. The car runs fine. Can anybody suggest where it's coming from? Are there probable causes? Thanks
