08 Jetta 2.5 EPC Check engine and engine cut off

Nov 27, 2018 - 10:05 PM - by adamyorksmith
I just bought my Jetta a few months ago and my wife had acceleration issues a few weeks back but not me. Later on a toad trip no less, I’ve got the cruise control on and the car bucks out of the CC and the EPC light comes on.

The car now will occasionally cut the motor at an idle, then will take around double the turns of the ignition to restart. Also the EPC and Check engine lights come on and off with no noticeable pattern.

Don’t have the actual code numbers but... [Read More]

2016 MKVI Jetta 1.4 TSi - time to upgrade performance

Jun 03, 2020 - 7:02 PM - by Flow415
Flow415's Avatar What's up y'all! I've been driving my car since 2017 and figured I should finally stop creeping around here and introduce myself!

I have a Silk Blue Metallic 2016 Jetta 1.4 TSi, her name is JETLife (shoutout all my Curren$y fans). I originally bought it because my other car started having every known problem it possibly could (2009 BMW e92 n51 pre-LCI) and I needed a form of income, so I was using it to drive for LYFT to pay for my BMW Parts, that didn't last long, lol. I... [Read More]

Cheap vw jetta starters on ebay or Hexautoparts

May 19, 2020 - 2:14 AM - by Marty Huskins
So my 2003 vw jetta 2.0L needs a new starter and they are so much cheaper online versus local stores. I know they are remanned but as long as it works I'm good. Has anyone ever bought a cheap vw jetta starter replacement off eBay or Hexautoparts with good luck? Is the shipping fast or slow? I see many ebay stores say the shipping handing time will be 5-7 business day due to coronavirus and stay at home order from goverment.

My turbo is filling with oil! Please help

May 10, 2020 - 7:32 PM - by Thejetti
Ok so my dad and I pulled my 1.8 out and put a rebuild kit in it and we realized my turbo was cracked and I had another one from a junk yard that seemed to be in good health. Well we put it all together, put it back in the car and fired it up and it was running sort choppy but we didn't have some of the pcv lines and stuff on but it was running fine for probably 30 and then it just started smoking like a pig and I shut it off. Well come come ok find out it was just pushing oil through the seal... [Read More]

joining dieselgate lawsuit?

May 01, 2020 - 11:31 AM - by BenVW
I’m eligible for the dieselgate class action in Netherlands, but not sure it is worth the trouble to sign on as a claimant. I attended DEJF webinar this week, anyone work with this group before?
