  1. VW Jetta MKV 2005.5–2010
My Jetta takes at least 20 minutes for the A/C to get cold. The most practical solution I can think of is to replace the compressor solenoid and possibly the compressor with it. Does anyone have any experience doing this replacement? or am I even in the right ball park?

I've searched everywhere from forums to forums to google... When I got my Jetta, the radiator fan seemed to not work properly. It only seemed to come on at full blast, and only the larger fan. The smaller fan didn't work at all. What I noticed was that in the morning time or nighttime or when...
  3. Jetta Troubleshooting
I just bought my 2003 TDI and unfortunately the AC doesn't work. After taking it to a shop, I found out that the AC clutch has basically rusted away and is no longer there. First question: Is this common or normal for a 2003 automatic with 172k miles? The shop said I cannot just buy a new...

I have a 2003 MKIV Jetta 2.0. The AC is blowing hot air. The compressor clutch engages, pressure is good on low service port, the fans are both on, and refrigerant lines from compressor to expansion valve get ice cold. I searched the forums without success.

I have a 2004 Jetta V6 and the air conditionerworks great for the first 15 minutes the car runs. Then it turns off anddoesn't cool at all unless it sits for hours. I took it to two mechanics. The first one is a friend of mine and heput gauges on the AC and said both the low and high pressure...
  7. VW Jetta MKV 2005.5–2010
Hi, the A/C on my 2009 Jetta is barely functional ATM. I'm not quite sure of the cause, and I've never really done any sort of car troubleshooting. I'm not sure if it's a fan or a clog somewhere or what. I checked the fuses listed in my manual for for fans/AC/climate control, and I noticed...
