    Cant figure out why the hood wont latch on my buddies GTI. The latch that holds the hood down before pulling the relese lever works but the actual hood latch doesnt grab the hood. is it common for these latches to fail? Or is it something as simple as breaking it loose?

    hello i have a 1998 VW golf GL with 14 in rims and i just recently bought some 16 in rims but they seem not to fit, why is that? do i need to put lower profile tires on it or get wheel spacers? i have seen the same car with bigger rims on it but i do not know how that works please help thanks.
