    i have a 96 glx it has all disc brakes. i was told by a buddy who used to have one that in order to change the pads and rotors u need a special tool to release the pads? is this true? if so what is the name of the tool and where can i buy one? i need to do breaks asap.

    hey guys i have a 2004 gli 1.8t with 95,000 miles. i recently had to replace my disk pads as a normal thing that came up and i came to discover the disk that the dealership at VW South Florida changed to the previous owner were not the disk that my gli takes... they were 11.2 or something inches...
