The turbo works off the heat and gasses in the exhaust stream - not the back pressure - otherwise people who mod their cars would put smaller than stock exhaust pipes on - not bigger ones. The purpose of the bigger pipes is to allow the gasses past the turbine impeller faster, and with less restriction. Burning more fuel will make hotter exhaust gasses, causing the turbine to spool up more, creating more boost.

Doesnt seem to have any take off power unless you dump clutch about 3000 rpm any suggestions or is this normal.
