Car has done 25k under my ownership, with only needing routine maintenance along with a crank position sensor, a fuel pump, and a wheel bearing (see below) Exterior does show its age but is still extremely clean and gets routine claybars and waxes. Ask anyone who knows me and my cars and they'll attest to this being about as great of an example of a GLI you could get your hands on right now. Oil is religiously changed every 3,000 miles with Rotella T6 (filter changed every other OCI). OEM suspension is fine, nothing wrong other than cosmetic things.
Regarding cosmetics... pass door has some scratches in it from an incident with a car scraping by in a parking lot. Door just needs a good afternoon with a DA polisher and some proper detailing compounds to buff out.
Just had the car on the dyno last month and it did 200whp/238wtq, with perfect AFRs.
Tire/Wheel situation: Car is currently on OEM 16" wheels with 3 blizzaks and one brand new goodyear tire. This is due to Ohio's roads obliterating the RCs that were on the car to the point of them being prohibitively expensive to repair, and subsequently causing the front drivers wheel bearing to need to be replaced. Theyre just fine otherwise.
Video of the car in running to show you what its like:
Asking $7200 as it sits right now. Located in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland.
