I brought it back to life a few years back. The engine and suspension were in pretty bad shape when I got it. It still needs some other work done but for now it runs great. I pulled the stock 1.6 natural diesel and installed a model AAZ 1.9 turbo diesel. I bought the engine from a guy who brings engines from Germany that have 50k miles on them or less. I put about maybe close to 10k miles since I have had it. The chassis itself has about 170k miles. I swapped all of the engine mounts and replaced the front bushings with urethane. Adjustable short shifter linkage, Koni shocks, H&R springs, H&R sway bars (rear sway bar is not installed), ARP studs, new injector tips, new high pressure fuel lines, removable steering wheel, Exhaust gas sensor w/ gage, oil pressure sensor w/ gage, temp sensor w/ gage, 2.5 inch down pipe with Borla resonator/muffler (exhaust routed to the driver side rear). Alloy wheels (originals are available) Car price includes extras. Rear seats were removed but I still have them.
I had all of the intentions of getting this project completed but ran out of time and money. She needs a good home and some TLC. Starting to leak around the seal on the windshield. It's fun to drive and it sucks to let it go. Price reduced to $4500!! obo Make me an offer. Very negotiable. Like I said before, it sucks that I have to let it go but it does me no good just sitting there. This is a special car to me but it has to go. It is SMOG EXEMPT! And it is super easy to work on. No electronics. Clean title. Pictures attached to link below. If you can not see them let me know. Thanks for looking.
