Hi everyone!
I have just bought a 2001 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA WOLFSBURG EDITION...
I'm in eastern europe and the car was imported from USA. Pretty nice car...
Anyway...i just wanted to ask if somebody have such a car...what a the good and the bad things in it???
or some sugestions or links will be great...only not german sites cuz i know a little bit gereman...

I found that MSN auto has a lot of good info as far as like recall stuff and what breaks, They also have a lot of user reviews on that car. I know there might be a recall on the door locking mechanism it tends to break (mine never broke I just took it in and had it replaced for free any way) but you might want to look into that.

P.S. I don't have any problems with doors...just one... the rear right door is not opening from the inside...and I don't know why...

still even if your not having any probs with them I would check out the recall list because some of the recalls have time limits on when they will fix them and if there happens to be something serious that has a mileage limit on it its beeter to know sooner than later. I had a car once that had a head gasket recall but they only would replace it before 100,000 miles ya so I found out at 110,000 that sucked and sure enough it went sour just a few grand more after that (for record not a VW)

hmmmm...thank you for you sugestion...
Here in Europe people are using more half-syntetic or not syntetic oil...and as I said the car was imported from USA, so I don't know what kind of oil they putted in...maybe som' one knows how to change it or any other ideea how to see what kind of oil is know in the engine???

I think that the only way to make it right is to get out all that oil and put the knew one...but the problem is that if it was for example syntetic and I'll put another...it won't be worst...?

P.S.yesterday I was in down town... and had som; time to see how the is the car...till now I had an AUDI A4 1.8 20 valve but that Wolfburg edition is obviolsy faster and better...especialy the fisrt 3 gears

A little bit off-topic here, but I own a 1999 Jetta Wolfsburg edition and I want to put a body kit on it. I've gone to several websites but when I see the 1999 Jettas they have a different body style than mine...do you guys know any good sites where I could be able to find a decent body kit?

i'm sorry i understand that everyone wants their own "style" with their cars but unless your going to be dishing out a couple g's to get a reiger body kit i suggest a 4motion front lip for yourself.

You could also go with a classic look like '04s GLI sort of a kit its a nice little dress up with out getting that to much rice look. You can also check out electrodyne.cc its a love it/hate it site but I like it.
