I notice a BIG cloud of white smoke when turning sharp right at a higher speed. Last couple times was when exiting an off ramp. Drove 4 hours and never smoke at all. Any ideas?? Car has 100,000 miles.

White smoke is usually coolant sometimes trans fluid. Making a turn may send fluid from leak point out accross the cylinder. If you can find a pic of head separated from block you will see all the water jacket openings that allow coolant to cool the cylinder head. Some are rather close to cylinders. Worst case trans fluid is being sucked up by vacuum line and the centrifugal force of sharp turn introduces it to combustion chamber. (So normal freeway driving wouldn’t dislodge any fluid in this case.)
Best case is condensation trapped behind an upsweep of exhaust for some reason. Far fetched given the temperatures created in exh. Sys. But then when you drive vws nothing is off the table.
