Hi,
New to this forum so let me know if you need more information.
On the first turn of the ignition, the car turns over for 5 seconds or more. I turn it off fearing I'll flood the engine. When I turn the ignition again, the car starts right up.
Some things to note:
-It starts up fine if the car has been run recently (i.e. starting up after parking for a short time)
-The idle is high after starting on the second ignition turn (around 1300). If i shift into gear, the car idles rough and jerks a bit before settling into the normal sub-1000 range. I can also rev the engine a few times and eventually the car seems to notice something is wrong and it drops down to the correct rpm.
-Weather doesn't seem to make a difference. Hot or cold or humid, the problem persists.
Thanks for any help,
Chris
