2012 VW Jetta and iPhone 4 BlueTooth -- Big Problems

I have a 2012 VW Jetta TDI. It's accepts the Bluetooth signal from my iPhone to listen to music and to place and receive calls.

One problem I have noticed is that when the Bluetooth connects when I get into the car, the music starts playing on the iPhone, even if I don't have the Media option that plays the iPhone music through the car speakers. So, if I am listening to the normal radio, the iPhone music is transmiting to nothing over Bluetooth.

Anyone have the same problem and has anyone found a fix?

Also, if the media option for the Bluetooth input is not selected, I can't hear texts messages, or other notification sounds on the phone, because the phone is transmitting them over Bluetooth to nothing. I have to change the output manually each time i get in the car from VW to iPhone if I'm not listening to music from the phone for me to be able to hear the notifications.

Anyone having this issue and anyone found a fix?

Thanks

Steve
