Hey guys, so I have a 2013 Jetta SE 2.5 L and have the oil pressure light blinking when the engine is cold. When the engine heats up, the light goes out and I have no issues at all with the engine running loud or crappy. I thought the first thing to try is replacing the oil pressure sensor as it is the cheapest to start with, but cannot find it for the life of me and all the videos online are either TDIs or the engine is set up completely different. Any help on where this sensor is?

Well if anyone comes here in the future, the sensor location was a dead end and couldn’t find it therefor ended up returning. HOWEVER, I posted in a VW group on Facebook and people reported having the same problem in the winter and recommended changing the engine oil and filter year round to an OW-40 and buying a mobil 1 oil cartridge instead of a cheaper Fram like I usually do. So far this has gotten rid of the light completely and has been some time. I will update later on, this may be a temporary fix but stay tuned. So far so good..

The first step would be to change the oil and ensure you have the correct type and level of oil in your engine.
Any update?
