hey guys just got my first jetta and my first problem. the car was stored for nearly 2 years. before storage there was no known problems.i got it started and running without any real prob except that now it doesnt shift into rev or 5th . any idea or advise would be greatly appriciated. thanks ( only has 170,000 k)

Reverse is know to go in jettas...... people should always shift into first then back out and into reverse.... makes the stretch from high gears to low easy on the transmission.........

Sounds like a new transmission is in need....
