Hello,
FIst time here and this is my first post. My daughter has a 95 Jetta III and is having some trouble with it. The other day she was driving and the car just died on her and she couldn't get it started. I got it started a few days later and it did the same thing to me (just died). I thought it might be the fuel pump so I changed it and still nothing. I changed out the fuel filter and again nothing. I changed out the fuel pressure regulator and still NoTHING!!! So I took it a little deeper and checked the spark plugs and their gap they were good. I am getting fuel to the fuel manifold but the car will not start. What am I missing here? Can anyone help me out here?

Hey,
Thanks for the idea. I had to tow it to the dealership and they told me what was wrong. It seems that it had spark but not a strong one. So they told me that I'll need a new ignition coil, spark plugs and rotor and cap. They would of done it for me for well over $600.00 :O.. I told them that I could do all the work myself and it costed me around 150.00.
This site is great adn I'll be back for sure.
Thanks again,

Hi, I joined this forum just to answer your question. I think?? your problem lies with your electronic ignition module. Situated, looking from the front, to the right hand side against the firewall. You will have to take of the plastic cowling covering wipers etc to remove and replace it...best of luck, Jason.South Africa
