Im looking to replace the factory stereo and speakers in my 08 wolfsburg.
Will removing the radio affect the anti-theft system? Does anyone know what size the door speakers are. I have 3 in the front doors and 2 in the rear. Any ideas on removing the door panels?

i dunno about the 08's but in the MKIV (99.5-05) the speakers are 6.5"

I'm not sure about the 08s but in the MKIVs it doesn't affect the anti theft system. Instead the radio goes into safe mode. Each radio has its own 4 digit code that you have to put in if you decide to reinstall the stock radio. It's just a trip to the dealer to get the code if you don't have it which is just a minor inconvenience but just a heads up,,,IF the 08s are the same which I don't know if they are.
