hello all,

my 02 jetta is giving me some issues on removing both the driver and passenger side Drive axles. I have got the 6 triplebit bolts on both sides out and the Axle nuts removed. on the driver side I removed the 3 ball joint bolts but the outter cv joint will not budge. did I miss a step or is that press tool I see being used on all data needed? Auto part Axle part Automotive alternator Bicycle hub Bicycle part
<-- that thing

Im about read to remove the steering knuckle and bring it to ATI and have the bloody thing pressed out.... cause PB and a 3lb sledge hitting the nut on it isnt doing me a lick of good

Please help

If your hitting it make sure the nut is on the front of the threads I beat my threads in and had to replace the axle because of it, but your on the right track thing to beat it out

so I got sick of trying to beat it out, I tried using a 3 jaw 2 ton puller to push it thru... it workish..... took a 2nd puller cause the 1st one broke
<--- see, thats either a crappy made OEM 2 ton puller or I some how hit that 2 ton limit.... I ended up having to cut it off the hub... the other side is giving the 2nd puller a run for its craptastic money too, broke that one. thinking a BIGGER puller is needed
