My Jetta makes a beeping/ringing noise sometimes. Usually at highway speeds, sometimes when starting from a stop, and only while my foot is on the gas. Around 1700-2000 RPMs. It stops the second I take my foot off the pedal. It sounds like it's coming from the passenger side of the dash. It happens even with the radio system powered off, and AC off. The dealership spent three weeks trying to figure it out, but couldn't. Any ideas?

My 2020 Jetta w/ manual transmission has the same beepng, but only when accelerating from a stop, and usually when turning to the right (like when I'm turning from a stop sign). It doesn't last as long as yours does though, even while I'm still accelerating.

Have either of you fixed this issue? I am experiencing the same noise on my 2020 Jetta with manual transmission.

Hey sorry to hear your car has the same issue. After 6 months of not being able to fix it, I ended up trading in my car for another one. The service department thought I was crazy and I was over it, a brand new car shouldn't sound so terrible.

I am experiencing an intermittent faint beeping sound with 2020 standard shift R line. Has anyone solved this issue?

The vehicle is back at the dealer for the second time for this issue. I took the technician for a ride and thankfully the noise was present so they can no longer claim they don't hear anything. I will update this post if they ever figure it out but I don't have high hopes. I'm just building a service history at this point.

Sad thing is that the loaner they gave me is having the same noise

Is the loaner a standard shift or automatic? I got mine back from VW second service for this issue. They were able to replicate the noise. They say VW corporate says this is commercially acceptable sound and I should turn on the radio if it bothers me. Naturally I find that unsatisfactory!
Nobody is telling me where the noise comes from or why it happens.

So third trip to dealer and they found the cause to be the electronic turbo waste gate.
"Shop foreman and Service Director. Vehicle is equipped with electronic turbo waste gate which may buzz and chirp at certain conditions while boosting. Vehicle is working to factory standards."

Needless to say that I am not satisfied with that and have started a case with VW Group of America.
