Hey, I have a 1996 2.0L that doesn't have air. The AC compressor recently locked up on me, and the car has not been drivable. I went into napa to see how much it would be for the part to bypass it, it's 50 dollars >_>... so I decided I would just run a belt, but being professionals at selling parts they had no idea how to determine the belt size without the AC compressor running with it.

So my question is, does anyone know what size belt I would need bypassing the AC compressor?

Thanks.

i dont have a definite answer but u could try this:

hows the access? can u get to it?
if yes, use one of those measuring tapes that is made of fabric, real soft.

Mark it good and then try to find a belt size as close as possible. If it does not work u can always take it back. Its worth a shot IMO.

hope it helps
