Looking to get some modding done to my car but dont know where to start! (Yeah you can laugh at me cause im a noob).
Heres my car specs.

Somethings im looking to get done is of course some cold air intake, exhaust, ect. Nothing to expensive but i want a little extra than what its got. Im just looking to get some opinions and to find out what would work on my car.
Will also be looking at exterior mods aswell, so shoot out some ideas.

welcome to the site Masonbuchanan...post pics of your jetta..and if its new you should wait to break it in...i think someone here said break in for it is like 6k for it...i'm not exactly sure

I would suggest getting some clear sidemarkers and smoked lights..... I haven't done mine yet but it looks very nice when its done......

For performance it depends on what you want it to do......

what kind of jetta is that?...i've never seen that model...it looks like a combination between the jetta and the passat

Its a modle i believe they only make in canada called the "City Jetta".
I was looking into getting smoked lights and changing out the taillights because i think they are pretty ugly.
List of what im thinking of getting sofar:
-Rims & tires of course.
-lower it about 2" front & 1.5" in the back.
-Maybe a body kit, nothing to ricey. (looking for a real clean look)
-Shaved trunk & new front grills (W/O emblem)
-Smoked lights.
-silenced exhaust
-intake& maybe a few other things if they come up.

I need some help on figuring out which cold air intakes are compatible with my version of Jetta? Im not looking for anything thats too high priced just a mid-priced cold air intake.

you know...i've never seen that jetta before since its an 08 i guess it'd be considered and mkV..and i don't even know what parts they'd make for it...there's no doubt you can find parts for it...but it would definately be difficult to find some parts for it...definately try it's always worth it lol..good luck with it and keep us updated

Its the only 2.0L 08 jetta i have heard of. so i dont know haha.

http://www.tirerack.com is a great site for rims and tires..they show you your model car with those specific rims and tires and you can judge on the look yourself, it's pretty sick but idk if they'd have your model..try it...as for other vw aftermarket parts here's a thread that was started here by ENRGZR....http://http://jettajunkie.com/vw-jetta/showthread.php/official-list-vw-websites-393.html

noob question about smoked lights. Is it like a spray on thing? or a actuall plastic cover?

it's like a tint film...that goes on the light
