I just fitted new front pads to my 2005.5, but fumbled the caliper and both broke the wires to the pad and the connector on the wiring harness at the mounting clip. I think I was successful insulating the bare wires on the connector and attempted to solder the wires back on the sensor, but the light is still on. Then I unplugged the sensor, light on. Then I took the old pad, cut the connector off and twisted the wires together... Light is still on. There must be a certain resistance value that the computer is looking for. I do keep my eyes on my car, so the sensor is not needed for me. How can I get the brake sensor warning light to go out without replacing brand new pads?
