Hi. I replaced the battery on a 2005 Jetta this weekend and everything works fine. I left it disconnected overnight and switched out in the morning. Now, when I take the key out of the ignition, the clock and the odometer stay on and won't turn off. Although this won't kill my battery overnight, it does make a difference at start up. I've driven 70 miles in hopes to reset the drive cycle, but this hasn't done any good yet. Anyone had this problem before?

someone correct me if im wrong but my clock and odometer stay on all the time, thats what its supposed to do. it doesnt do anything to your battery.

yeah thats what i thought. something else is draining the battery, theres no way a small digital clock could drain a battery the size of a cinder block.
