My 07 says drl left front is not working and to service immediately. Actually both are not working. Where should I start looking to solve this. I will be soon checking voltage at the plug

Most likely, you have a burnt out low beam bulb (outer most bulb in each headlight).

Checking voltage will not be useful as the light circuit will be shut off (by the car) when a burnt out bulb is detected.
