I have a 1999 MKIV Jetta that resonates loudly right around 4000 RPM. Above or below this RPM range and the engine is pretty quite.
Very annoying on the highway. Is this a normal trait for the 2.0 F/I engine or is it the result of something like a bad crankshaft pulley (with vibration damper) or a broken motor mount. Any help would be appreciated.
