I have a set like this for my MK6, and they started pealing off
in a week. 3M logo was on the tape. I cleaned the mating surface
with alcohol, three times each. I suggest using adhesive promoter..
There are stress points where the tape fails. What I did, was
put a bead of silicone adhesive at the top gap, and they sealed
up nice, but, still had to do it.

I know on the MK6, you're adhering to a rubber like soft surface, not metal.
I did not think I would need adhesion promoter for 3M tape, but I did, and
didn't use it; I have it, didn't use it. So, it all starting popping off
the surface, especially the ends facing the rear of the car. So, I had to
go over all four with silicone adhesive to seal the tops up, and make them
stick to the door.

Their wind deflection is horrible, does not keep out water while in motion.

They look nice, but have little functionality. IF you crack your window
open just enough to toss out a cigarette butt, it is forced right back
in by the wind that tunnels under them. You need to really open the
windows to toss something with that kind of weight, out. I don't smoke,
but I opened the window .5" to toss out a mike & ike piece of candy, and
it came right back in the car. There is positive air pressure there, unless you open
the window more than an inch, completely past the deflector. I don't like them,
but they're on, and will stay on.

Before sealing them, I left one window open a crack, it rained, and what do you
know, WATER got in the car.. They don't seal right without doing it yourself with a
silicone adhesive.

The metal clips? They change the auto up rest position of the window, and sometimes,
when I went all the way up, then press UP again, they go DOWN thinking there was
something jamming the window. I had to disconnect the battery, and then do the window
reset for the AUTO up, then it's fine. It's simple enough, put the windows up all the
way, then pull up on the button again when they stop, and it had that new value.
When you pull the battery, the auto UP doesn't work till you reset it this way.

Not worth paying for, but if they're free, well, then pay for the tube of silicone
adhesive you're gonna need.
