Hey All, I wrecked my 84 Supra, and while on the search for another one in good condition I'm rolling in a 98 Jetta. Since I'm new to this forum, its only customary that i ask some stupid question without searching, so here goes. I'm at this screen now so i'll ask now, then i'm headed for the search button:)

Any good ideas for Cold Air Intakes?

Looking at some of the other pages, Am I right when i assume my Jetta is a mkIII? don't tell me that MKIII Jettas are slow, Similarly the way MKIII Supras are slow.....

This is helpful--http://jettajunkie.com/vw-jetta/showthread.php/list-good-sites-mkiii-parts-81.html--
But Human Advice is always greatly appreciated.

Plenty of people use the forum...... we just have personal lives also........

Welcome to the site..... sorry about the supra, those aren't too bad.......... I've seen one with 820HP and 1000FPT at the tires :|....... anyways, the MKIII is considered a 'Vento' and all you have to do is look at the front bumper...... If it has a whole black grille all the way across it is probably an MK2... but if it has just the slatted grille in the middle with plastic on the sides before the headlights its a vento unless it had a bumper change to the mk3.........

AEM intake all the way, I'd suggest looking on, http://thepartsbin.com my personla fav, or a lot of people like http://tmtuning.com check them out..

Welcome to the site. You have a MKIII. To find out if it is slow or not look at the lug pattern. If you have 4 lugs then you either have a TDI or a 2.0. If you have 5 lugs then my friend, you have yourself a VR6. Which can be quite fast. It is also the best sounding motor.
