How much oil should I put in my 1996 Jetta GL? I'm thinking it's around 4.2 quarts, but I'm not sure.

Your owners manual should tell you how many quarts to use. I have an '06 Jetta and had to use 6 1/2 quarts. Also, make sure it meets the VW standards. I used the Mobil 1 fully syn in my car.

lol yeah I figured it out about 4 months ago when I posted. And it is 4.2 quarts. I bought it used and it didn't come with a manual.
