i never had this problem before. but recently i have noticed when im driving down the road if there is any bump,groove or imperfection in the road i can feel it. if i hit a bump i feel it bang and the whole car vibrates. as well as if i hit a bump the car will sometimes jerk to left or right. if im taking a sharp turn the back end tends to sway back and forth real quick. when i am taking a curve the front end likes to jerk over feels like a quick slide. i recently have had 5 ppl in my car for a 2 hour drive and after that i had filled the tires with air. this is when i started to feel the problem. could this be bad struts and shocks? or maybe bad tie rods? i have a feeling the suspension was bad but putting that much weight in my car fully compressed them. i feel this even with nobody but me in the car. any help would be great!

Sounds like 5 people was to much. Lol..your prolly riding around on busted struts or one bad one..if your going to replace em all, you might as well get coils ..

While you at it replace all the bushings you have. Most likely they rotted out already.

I would have to agree with him. Some times a car is just barley holding on. My first Jetta was a VR6, and drove awesome. No issues ever ever ever...then one day out of the blue on the way home my right rear joints snapped while I was driving down the highway. Lucky me held on by rust >.<

Another thing to check is your rear beam bushings. I had to replace those in my jetta. You hit a bump and the back of the car danced around, almost scary to drive!

I have the exact same issues. Over the next few weeks I'm replacing ALL my bushings, ball joints, and strut mounts to hopefully alleviate it. Next step after that is coils.

make sure to pick out a set of coils before you buy new strut mounts, my coils came with new strut mounts.

Thanks for the advice. Perhaps I'll just skip the mounts and bushings and go straight for coils. But I'm poor so Racelands are probably my limit.

Those won't come with mounts.
