I have just put on a German Big Valve head on my 8V It has a 290 Degree cam on it and it wont idle right, I have put a new Mass Airflow sensor on it and that helped a little bit but it Still dies if i dont give it gas when i am stoped. It also lacks power until around 4500 rpm's my buddy is saying my timing might be off... Could that be the problem? Please write me back because i really need to get my car going right...Thank you for your time

Could be the timing, but do you have a chip? For a cam that big, youll need a lot more fuel or it will bog out. Also a 290 has high lift and duration, so it isnt going to idle smooth reguardless
