I left the lights on on my Jetta yesterday, and came out to drive it again about 8 hours later to try and go some where. I saw that the lights were on and knew that the battery would be dead. However, when I went to unlock the doors they would not open. Obviously, the keyless entry was not going to work but the key would not even unlock the door. The trunk will not open either. Has this happened to anyone? Is there anyway to get into the car without breaking a window out? Please help!

same thing happened

I had a 1995 nissan altima... and when i kept using the key less entry instead of using the key i had the same problem.... what i did was i stuck the key inside the door and sprayed some wd-40..... took they key out.... let it sit for a little and IT WORKED!!!! you should def try it i guess the lock mechanism just freezes up since it dosnt move much because of the keyless entry
