Hey guys, I currently have the motor and trans out of my 1.8t jetta. I'm doing a 5 speed manual conversation and cleaning everything up. Since I had the engine out I threw it on an engine stand. I took a look at the cylinder walls and they looked fine. Then I decided to check the connecting rod bearings and they were shot. They have scratches on the surface and they need to be replaced. So my question is, what do you guys recommend for new connecting rod bearings and piston rings and do you guys suggest any other things I should replace while i'm in there? thanks
