What sort of Gas Milage are you all getting and with what mods?

With my bone stock 2.0L 97 GLS Im getting roughly 33 mpg

getting 26in town and 31-33 on highway with an intake, exhaust and power chip. got a hydrogen booster to put on though and i hope it will bring me up to 38 or 40. it took a 92honda civic hatchback that my buddy has to 45mpg on the highway with 3 people in it

My '98 TDI got 45 in combined city/highway driving, 48 when driving 75 mph, and 54 when driving 60 mph.

Loved the '98 TDI before my wife was T-Boned by a Dodge pickup. Our '06 isn't nearly so easy on fuel.

99 A3, 155k, 2.0/M5 needs throttle body (MIL on) about 29mpg all-around but I don't baby it and do 75-80 on the highway.

Souldn't the newer cars get better millage? Whats up with the MkV getting less millage than a honda accord 4cy(bigger and heavier) or the same or less than the V6?
