you can't use the computers because they are different. well some parts are the same but like the computer isn't the same
My Jetta won't start
I have a '96 Jetta GLS, bought from a mechanic shop, non-running condition. Car is complete, turns over fine but will not fire. Also have a '95 GL that runs (same configuration-.2.0/5 speed)...My question:Will the '95 electronics work on the '96 if I swap compuer and all(#'s are different on computer). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with my gls......it turned out that it was a power wire to the injectors that's was corrodied and wasn't making connectivity....so I would diffently check that first I put 3pp trying to guess what was wrong
