Ok so because I know a lot of people on here are really anal about a bunch of random posts by one person being all over the forum, I figure I'll just post up a thread of my questions, updates and etc.

Here is a picture of my car when I first got it. I am a photographer, so I take all my own photos, I had my friend driving. These were German plates from my old car but this is when the car was still new without any changes

Ok so since then back in July I have done a number of changes. I have a Forge Splitter Valve, painted the brakes green, cleared bumper side markers, silver side-view mirrors with green interiors, got the back window sticker wasted, HID fogs and headlights, Angry Eyes Boser hood, Badge-less grill. Here are some pics that show my progression.

And this is what I want my car to look like in a few months. Oh yea and I'm trying to do this on coils. I know its OD to do on coils but I love the way it looks and air is out of my budget ;D

THE BAD!!

Ok so out of all the amazingness and how much I love this freaking car it still has issues. I threw an engine code a while back after I was adjusting my Forger Splitter valve. The code said "System too rich bank 1" so i got it turned of and blamed it on my Splitter Valve. No biggie...but then it came back. So I have the print out and this is everything on it.
Troubleshooting P0172
Definition: System too rich bank 1
Explanation: High fuel pressure condition
Probable cause: - Leaking Fuel pressure regulator or injector
- Faulty canister purge solenoid
- Faulty HO2S (Heated oxygen sensor) Bank 1

I have seen this code on the forum and seems to be a common problem. Can anyone offer advice as to what I should do first? Any suggestions are welcome. Please don't yell at me for asking about something that I know has been talked about before. I want fresh feedback. Thanks :)

looks good O0
I like the drop you want I wish i could go that low but with all the speed bumps and pot holes around here i already scratch with about a 1.6" drop.
Get some spacers and roll those fenders. Then sit back and try not to jizz your pants while you enjoy a job well done :buck2:

Well my first ? Is do u have a stock exhaust and if not do you have a cat or is it catless.
My exhaust is still stock. Only mod that isnt visual is the Forge Splitter Valve

car looks good. Is you're hood matte black?... looks sick non the less.

and sorry, off the top of my head I cant help you with the code.
Thanks. the hood is actually primer black. I plan on getting it painted but I'm in no rush. Funny how I got it thou. first week I had the car at work someone hits it with a shopping cart. I filed a claim with the company and they paid to get my stock hood fixed. Instead of fixing the stock hood I just got the Boser from Duraflex ;)

P0172. like you said its a code for a car running too rich. have you replaced the CTS- coolant temp sensor before. this is a common problem for MKIVS and hopefully will be your issue. if your sensor is fouled up your car thinks its not warmed up and will continue to dump extra fuel in to help it warm up. this causes you too run rich and throw the cel. sensor is pretty cheap on ecstuning.com. anyone correct me if im wrong plz

I'll try that. I havent done anything yet to troubleshoot because the car hasnt had any problems driving wise and sounds good/runs great but i'm going to look into it. the other day the cel went out on its own so maybe it is the CTS.
