Hey there, I'm in the process of buying a '98 Jetta III GLX VR6 w/ 148k miles and wanted to join this forum to see what I can do with it, what advice I can get, and so on.

I'm a 22 year old college student in Tampa and not looking to really trick it out or race it, just chat with other drivers about this great car.

Welcome to the site man...... there is always little cosmetic things to set it off...... cheap but killer eye candy......

I'll take pics tomorrow and upload when I get off work.

I'm thinking about starting small and just getting some blue HID lights off ebay, maybe some rims this upcoming fall / winter. Tinting is also a must, as anyone on here who lives in the south knows it gets hot as balls without it.

I just bought it tonight, finally. My dad is a car dealer and they got it in off of trade. For 2100$, I got it and just need to replace two tires, fix the glovebox (latch is broken) and have the struts / suspension redone.
