Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum but I've had my Jetta for quite some time now. It is a 1999 A4 Jetta GLS, 121 CID Engine.

Guess what. I have a problem with the door locks.

I can only lock or unlock the doors with the remote. I can no longer unroll or roll the windows with any keys in the door locks. In fact, I can't do anything with the a physical key or the physical key lock.

Any ideas?

i would open the door and their is a black sleeve over a ton of wires i would cut that off which you can replace just by wrapping with electrical tape or for five bucks at the shop, and see if your wires are cut, or one wire cute, that happened to me and my windows wouldnt roll down somtimes over a period of time they get cut. if you see no wires that might have been tampered or curroded then take the door panel off and check out the locking devices make sure the wires are going to the pin and see if anything would be making them not work.. check under steering wheel wher fusebox is and check all your fuses..
