Hey...my '03 1.8T Wolfsburg has a short, rounded antenna. So what right? But I have seen a few cars that look exactly like mine, same wheels and model, and any other Jetta I've seen all have long, skinny antennas. Does anyone have info on why this is?
Is there anyone else out there with antenna envy?? lol

I think the stock one should be the long skinny one. Did you buy it used? The previous owner maybe swapped it?

Honestly, I like the one you have better! I have to long skinny one on my Rabbit and I'd rather have a shorter one.

Yes, I did buy it used...and I have thought about the previous owner getting a different one...but I have never seen another...I would have thought there'd be one out there somewhere...lol
I sometimes get crappy reception with it...does that happen the the longer ones? I'm talking about in the open I sometimes get static...never really happend before with other vehicles.

I've seen those before, I just can't remember on what. My stock one gets pretty good reception. I've heard others complain about worse reception with other ones (like yours), but some say it's fine. Others don't care because it's only for looks.

If you want the stock one, you could just buy one and swap it out.
