I am a brand new Volkswagen owner, and honestly it is my first car that is less than 15 years old! I have a 2011 Jetta Comfortline 2.0 purchased the base model because it was significantly cheaper at my dealer. I have been looking on eBay, Amazon for some options to get a double din Navi system. I have found some Aftermarket Navis for around $250 (CAD) whereas the OEM models are $500+. it is probably worth the investment to get the OEM model but are there any real differences? Also is it a job you would recommend having a professional install, or is it something I cna just watch a youtube video and install myself and get full capabilities? Thank you!

I'd just go with the aftermarket head unit, get the wiring harness and wire it up myself. If your not comfortable with wiring up electronics, then i would it professionally installed.

The reason i say Aftermarket, is because you can choose the one you like the most, compared to an OEM one that looks the same as all the others.
