OKay. sorry to post this but i need some serious help. My car is messed up and i have no idea whats wrong with it. jetta 1.8t
here's the deal. recently i've been driving and i like to accelerate cause i love the boost. a lot. but recently when i'm cruising and igo to accelerate to pass a car up and get in front of him i feel bumps in my car then finally the boost comes on and the bumpy feeling goes away. but today i have no more boost it still kinda gives me that bumpy feeling but theres no boost it still accelerates but at a steady rise. there's no more boost as there once was before. soo i'm curious as to know what this is and if anyone has any idea. im not a good describer but i tried. so umm the car kinda rocks back and forth then the boost comes but now boost is gone and it bumps everytime i accelerate. but once i'm going it's all good. soo ummm help? i really love jettas and kinda broke right now but i wanna take it to the dealer to see what the problem is. oh and the turbo still whistles so im guessing it isn't the turbo? idk i'm not car smart i just get in and drive.

whew...that was alot to read lol. u might have a vacuum leak, cuzing ur boost problem. i wouldnt recommend goin to the dealership tho. who knows what the will say they need to replace and ull get stuck with a huge bill afterwards. by chance do u have a CEL (check engine light)? or a boost gauge? its gonna be hard to talk ya thro this if ur not familiar with turbo cars.....might want to find a friend or another reputable shop to look at it.

take a lit cigarette, take a long hit, then exhale over the different hoses. (no, i dont smoke, but it works). if you have a vacuum leak then the smoke will suck inside a tube. replace the hose, problem solved. if its not a hose, then idk. avoid dealerships unless you know them personally or dont have a vw shop in the area.

okay went to auto zone told me i needed a tune up. it was misfires or w/e
i was like [email protected]*t.
sooo i was lookin at spark pluugs and coil kits? or whatever.
and my dad told me to get a spark plug with double spark? what do you guys recommend?
is that just as good as an ngk?


oh and uhh i don't know **** about cars but i'm learnin.

1.8T's like ngk coppers, u dont need the fancy ones. go with BKR6E gapped .032. if u get chipped get BKR7E gapped .028, they cheap too maybe 2 bucks a piece or so.

Unfortunately they changed the stocking code... BKRxE's are now called something else. So just ask for the coldest copper NGK they carry.
