Anybody else have any trouble with the one touch function of the windows?
My left rear window goes up just fine, but when it reaches the top it immediately goes back down as if it were performing the pinch protection mode. I looked in the track and there are no obstructions that I can see. Is this a warranty type issue I should see the dealer about?
Thanks

That depends on if your car is still under warranty. If it is, I would definitely have a dealer check it out... How old is the car?

Precertified

It is a 2005.5 with 31000 miles. It was purchased through the Pre Certified program so warranty is extended for two years and 24000 miles past original warranty expiration date. I knew it was probably a Dealer issue, but was hoping since I am new to VW that maybe there was way to reset the windows or some inherent VW knowledge I was lacking. I could just hear someone saying, hey dummy just do this! and it would be fixed. I read the book and it had all kinds of procedures for setting which windows tooperate with the key and pinch protection stuff but I didn't see any troubleshooting besides look for what caused the retraction and remove the blockage.:-\
Thanks

That has happened to me several times. If I was driving at high speeds, I had to lower one of my windows and/or open the sunroof in order to get the window to close automatically. When it did what you described and the car was not moving, I just kept repeating the cycle until it worked. What also worked, which amazed me, was that after getting upset at this repeated silliness, I slammed the door (passenger rear) with the window up and NEVER had another problem with that window ever again. Dumb luck I guess.

if that doesnt work you can always disconnect the battery for a good 10-30 mins, this will reset the computer. try rolling the windows down then back up when they are back up pull up on the left and right twice and that will reset the 1 touch. hopefully this will help if not im sorry... :(
