Hey guys, I'm new on this thread and i just purchased a 2002 jetta 2.0. I am looking for some good ideas on how to run a power wire for my sub through my firewall. I'm not sure where to look or where an extra space can be found. Thanks in advance for the help!

im taking the easy way out and running it underneath the car.

through the firewall, there is a grommet with a bunch of wires going through it.

from what i've seen its located on the drivers side. Just follow the bundle going from your PCM to the wall.

Yes drivers side... PM me and ill send you a picture of my car how i have it run... its rather easy... took me forever to figure it out for some reason

took me a minute... bc that looked wierd to me... the coolant res. is on the driver saide on yours... then i realized that it was a mk 3... tripped me out at first...

I'm having the same problem. I have a 1999 Jetta 2.0 and i am trying to run the power wire through the firewall and i just CANT figure it out.

Its easy as pie. There also a rubber plug just behind the coolant on the fire wall pop that out and u should c daylight pop a hole in the grommet push the power wire through and then replace the grommet should have no problems and no water leaks

someone else asked this and i posted a full how to run right to the trunk being fully hidden. and you could always drill but that grommet is how i did mine too so stay away from the drill if you can help it
