I got my jetta a couple months ago and I know nothing about volkswagons...My clutch just went out in my jetta, and I was told by alot of my friends that I will have to take my jetta into the dealer because when you work on volkswagons alot of dealers are not authorized to work on them. Is this true? Can someone please help me out, My jettas been parked for 3 months and I'd really like to drive it again lol

thanks

Dn't think so

I just recently had a new clutch and transmission installed in my 95 vr6. I took it to a volkswagen shop who did an excellent job. But any euro performance shop can do it for cheaper then the dealership. SHOP AROUND, try and find someone who is very well volkswagen oriented.

Yea..... I would definetly take it to a V-DUB certified mechanic or dealership..... The dealership will probably be a little more pricey.. but there are tons of foreign car mechanics around...
