I replaced the wheels on my '09 Jetta 2.5 with 18" VW rims and low-profile tires. Since then my tire pressure light hasn't gone off. I'm wondering if there is a way to reset the pressure to compensate for the new wheels or at least a way to reset the light?
I have tried several methods I found on the internet, but none have worked.
Who actually did the wheels? It could be possible that whoever installed them didn't re-install the sensor correctly or even at all. But if that's not it....what are the new tires supposed to be inflated to?
Idk who did them. I bought them from a friend. They are inflated to spec but the light won't go off. When I bought the car it was on. We filled up the stockies nd it went off. The sticks were 16s and I replaced them w 18s w loprofiles. So I'm wondering if that's the issue? But I haven't found a way to reset the light.
This tells me the sensors are either not installed or are not compatible with your system. A reputable tire shop should be able to easily correct the issue.
