hey all, so i changed my air filter the other day and noticed some oil in the intake hose. so i pulled it off and there was a little puddle of oil where the hose clamps onto the intake flange on the turbo. i stuck my fingers in there and i can spin the turbine freely and it has no play in any direction. so im stumped as to why oil could be comming out of it when theres no play and no way of it to leak into the compressor housing unless the seal inbetween is shot. ill post some pics when i get further into it but anyone know what might be going on? its the kkk k24 turbo charger.

I have no idea myself aswell.... But to have oil spitting into the intake it would have to atleast be sputtering......

Good luck

trace amounts of oil will accumulate in the intake hose(blow off from top pan-PVC valve), should be checked and cleaned out every so often..deppending on how hard you drive-every oil change or in between changes

turbos are know to have oil leakages srt4 is real bad on it to help with the problem get a oil catch can for a trubo system it helps pull the oil out of your intake and put is back into the car.

Agreed with pieces of all these posts lol.

Its PCV blowby. Its normal... But if you get a catch can (goes inline with the PCV system), the can will catch the oil instead of spraying it into your IC piping, which then drains into your turbocharger.
