I think it all depends on what you'll be doing with this car. You say a "good handling SCCA" car but then you say you want it to run in the "10's like your capri". In my opinion, if your going to be doing a little bit of everything, they both have there fair share of pro's and con's.

A turbo on one hand is going to give you a higher top end speed, along with higher gains of horsepower and a more tunable platform. And depending on how you decide to set-up your engine, it would be quicker over-all in the straights as well as coming out of high speed corners. Where it lacks is the turbo lag. A huge draw back to the turbo is it having to draw in enough air to give you that gain of pressure you want it too as well as more piping and building up the engine.

A supercharger on the other hand is good for your bottom end. Also tuneable but not to that of the turbo. New pulleys will differ the amount of pressure but again, not anywhere close to that of a turbo. If your running an Autocross style platform for this vehicle, a supercharger is the way to go! Because of its constant power being fed to the engine which in return means quicker through and out of any corners! As for the quarter-mile attack, a supercharger would mean quicker out of the gate but when getting into the top of each shift, your vehicle won't pull as hard (but you won't have to worry about any kind of lag).

Hope this helps!
