I apologize in advance if this is a searchable topic (since I'm a moderator on another website that has nothing to do with jettas; lacrosse) but I don't know exactly what to search for.

I have a '98 GLX

On the dash there is a gauge for time, mph, mpg, engine temp, etc. On the windshield wiper (i think) handle, there is a switch that has 0 1 2 0 and then you can click it over all the way, as well as a button to switch what you're going to look for.

What does the 0 1 2 0 mean, and is there a way to reset the avg. mph / mpg? I noticed I had two different readouts on the mpg.

you can store 2 sets,

1 and 2

the 0's if u move the slider that far reset the items for either 1 or 2 depending on which side you move it to.

thanks a ton, I figured it had something to do with storage. So you can store say an entire trip on one, but figure it out to say, what you get in the last half of your tank?

I don't want to clutter the forum with another thread, but does anyone know where I can buy an owner's manual? I searched on ebay but couldn't find one.
