My Jetta has been getting some tender loving care, via a really good mech. But both he, and I, are/am confused about if the '96 jetta 5 speed manual trans needs a neutral safety switch? I'm trying to ressurect this model for a few years, and need a safety to get it on the road, and change the official ownership. anyone got any ideas?
