Hey everyone, not sure if a thread already exists for this but I would like to see your 2011 Jetta MK6 pictures. I recently purchased a 2011 Jetta MK6 SEL but the dealer is special ordering it and it is taking a few days for it to get here. So in the meantime I would like to see what your cars look like. Especially if you have done any mods to your MK6.

Thanks in advance.

You tinted your Windshield?!?!?!? WTF? I hope you meant to say you did the six inch strip at the top. If not, I wanna know where you live so I can avoid you. Tinting an entire front glass is retarded, no matter how light it is, unless it is just clear film and there for extra shatter safety.

well i cannot tell you where i am from exactly, i am on the East-Coast, and its fantastic that you have experience with those vehicles. however it is just your opinion, and 45% HP is not that dark i can see perfectly at night, and from my experience if anything your 10% side windows will be more of an issue than 45% on a windshield. And i have never been to Central Florida, Leesburg but i can only assume that there is decent lighting there? as for me i am from a very dense area with Plently of lighting at night. and if you can barely see out of a 50% windshield i dont know what the hell you are thinking getting 10% on your windows, sound more like your the guy we should be avoiding.

-I appreciate your maturity here, My daughter is living with special needs and i DO NOT appreciate the language.

Thanks

Special needs means she is Handicap, Not retarded, read up on that sir. I have no ill thoughts of people with handicaps, some of my best customers at my job are handicap (always have a positive outlook on life), but people that act like retards by doing stupid **** is a different story.

I do 10% tint on the sides because black interiors get really hot in the summer. I leave my front windshield clear and free except for the top strip. there is not that much in the name of street lighting around here. I have been pulled over because of my tint, and always been let go because I have no points against my record, I assure you though, that your car would be impounded if they caught you with tint on the front glass.

Its pretty sad that this parent just called her daughter a retard... there's a girl I work with that takes that term offensively because she has a special needs child. He has autism. I, like you, want to let her know that just because he has autism doesn't make him a retard but she's my manager so I can't really say anything. So I just pity her silently.

Sent with my Atrix from da Matrix!

At least we can agree on one thing Noob4Life... I don't understand why most parents who have children with handicaps refer to them as Retards... it is just pathetic. I mean really, they take offense to retard??? That means they think of their kid as a Retard. A retard is not a handicap person, hell the word retard is actually meaning to slow something down, or to "retard the timing" on a distributor, the Slang though is for ignorant people doing stupid stuff (at least around here anyways).

My TDI Highline. Was the top before the GLI came out, but I am drawn to the drivetrain - engine/tranny combo. Without that, I probably would have went with another brand because I loved my Mk4 (written off in an accident) and not too sure about the new style - it definitely is harder to park (being 2 feet longer!). Love the DSG - my other was only a 4 speed. Had it about 2 months now - at least it still handles/drives like a drivers car!

35% tint on front side and back windows - Limo on the back sides. Learned my lesson on the back window - did my Mk4 in Limo.... Too hard backing up in the dark! Also got 3M on the front - we get a lot of gravel on the road - it's hell on the lower cars (everyone drives pickups - I was one of them until Feb). Dislike the stock mags, but unless the M&S Continentals don't handle the winter here, have no reason to change. Only other mod I am looking at for now is a lip spoiler. And lowering them here is not a good idea - the Mk4 was so low the skid pan was always scraping something (Stock!).

My 2011 Jetta SEL w/ Sport Package
Tempest Blue / black interior
Manual transmission (of course)...I am SO glad they brought the SEL in a m-t.

Read a lot of negative comments about the m/t in reviews. So I went with the DSG for that and another reason... Still have someone in the household that can't drive standard. Think it was a good choice. Love the way the DSG works. It is actually works best shifted like a m/t, just no clutch. And the best part - same fuel econo as the m/t

the tint strip on the front glass is Legal here, that is what the AS1 line is for. As for tinting the whole front glass, what happens in a year or so when it starts to bubble because of the steep curvature on most front windshields? what do you do? Tow it to a shop to have redone or just drive with zero visibility? If they invented a auto glass that tints like those cool glasses, then I'd be all for it, lightens up at night, and darkens up during the day. But tinting your front windshield to me just sounds like a recipe for an accident. Especially with so many idiots who don't know how to change a headlight like most of us on here do. You know the kind, driving down the road and it looks like they have a dimmer switch installed on their low beams.
