i have a 2005 1.8T. when i reverse the brake pedal goes spongy.
this only happens after reversing - brake pads (front and rear) are fine. has anyone had this problem before or can anyone advise me as to a solution?

Maybe look into getting some stainless brake lines as well. They make a huge difference in the overall feel of the brakes and getting rid of that "spongy" feeling. Its quite odd though that you only feel it when you put the car into reverse. Maybe for some reason your car pulls less vacuum when in reverse which negatively effects the brake booster.
