Haha it is. its the R GT passat. I have seen the Mk5 Jetta R GT in person and that car is bad ass.

 

Ill see if I can find that out for you but I think the other taillights are longer.

my 2 cents im not sure but just the look of them i dont think they will the look different on the trunk part the white one looks a lil more rounded but good luck i hope they do those are nice lights

 

Yea I also noticed that to after I posted the thread. But hopefully they do cuz I gotta buddy that has a 2007 Passat with those taillights and he is gonna give them to me but idk if they fit. If not then I am gonna have to wait till I have the money to buy the euro style LED Jetta taillights.

Haha thanks. He bought some other ones that are tinted and the turn signal is orange instead of red, so he said he has no use for them and that I can have them if I want them

Passat taillights will NOT fit in a MKV Jetta.

It would take some serious body mods to get them to fit.

or you could hack apart the Passat taillights and transplant the guts into the Jetta lights but it wouldn't be easy.

Well I just got back from my friends house that gave me his old Passat taillights and I held them up to mine, umm yea they wont fit. It curves downward at the other end(this is the trunk piece) but the other piece that goes on the actual car that wraps around, it looks like it will fit. I think I might have to see if it does fit
